GrandVerify Privacy Policy

GrandVerify is provided by Grand Metalworks Limited. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the GrandVerify application.

1. Information stored by GrandVerify

GrandVerify is designed primarily as a locally operated application. Depending on how the application is used, information stored on the user's device may include:

This information is used to provide the measurement, verification, project and reporting functions of GrandVerify.

2. Where information is stored

In the current version of GrandVerify, application and project information is stored primarily on the user's device.

Users may also choose to save or export completed project information, reports and other files to a location selected by the user.

GrandVerify does not currently provide Grand Metalworks cloud storage for project information.

3. Information transmitted to Grand Metalworks Limited

The current version of GrandVerify does not automatically upload project information, measurements, photographs, notes or documents to Grand Metalworks Limited.

GrandVerify does not currently use a Grand Metalworks analytics or telemetry service to automatically transmit application usage or project information to us.

Information may be provided to Grand Metalworks Limited if a user chooses to contact us for support, for example by email. In that case, we will receive the information that the user chooses to provide.

4. Local user accounts

GrandVerify uses local device user accounts to control access to the application. These are not currently GrandVerify cloud accounts.

Authentication information associated with these local accounts is stored locally by the application.

5. Photographs and files

GrandVerify allows photographs and other project information to form part of a survey record.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate authority to capture, store and use photographs and other information entered into GrandVerify.

GrandVerify accesses photographs or files only where required by application functionality and subject to the permissions provided by the user and the operating system.

6. Internet connectivity

The core GrandVerify measurement and project workflow does not currently require continuous internet access.

Certain services or future functionality may require an internet connection. Where the way GrandVerify handles information materially changes, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Data retention and deletion

Project and application information stored locally remains on the device unless it is deleted through the application, removed by the user, or otherwise removed from the device.

Files exported from GrandVerify are controlled by the user and remain in the locations to which the user has chosen to save them.

Users should maintain appropriate backups of information they need to retain.

8. Data security

Grand Metalworks Limited takes reasonable steps in the design of GrandVerify to protect information handled by the application.

Users and organisations are also responsible for maintaining appropriate security for the devices, accounts, files and storage locations on which GrandVerify information is held.

No method of electronic storage or security can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Children's privacy

GrandVerify is a professional measurement and verification application and is not intended for use by children.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as GrandVerify develops or where legal, regulatory or operational requirements change.

The current version will be made available through the GrandVerify website or support pages.
