GrandVerify Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to the use of the GrandVerify application provided by Grand Metalworks Limited.
By using GrandVerify, you agree to these Terms.
1. About GrandVerify
GrandVerify is an opening measurement and verification application designed to assist users in capturing survey information, creating a digital representation of an opening and carrying out verification checks.
GrandVerify is a tool to assist the surveying and information-transfer process. It does not replace professional judgement, design responsibility or appropriate checking procedures.
2. Measurement and verification
Users are responsible for the measurements and other information entered into GrandVerify and for using appropriate surveying practices.
GrandVerify provides verification functionality intended to assist users in checking captured information. Verification functionality does not constitute a guarantee that a survey, measurement, design or manufactured item is correct or suitable for a particular purpose.
3. Design responsibility
GrandVerify records and processes survey information.
GrandVerify does not determine manufacturing tolerances, installation clearances, fabrication requirements, structural requirements, product specifications or other company-specific design requirements.
The user and/or the relevant designer, drafter, manufacturer or other responsible professional remains responsible for all subsequent design, engineering, manufacturing and installation decisions.
4. Site conditions and photographs
GrandVerify may require or permit photographs, notes and other information to be included with a survey.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have permission to capture and use photographs and other information at the relevant site.
Photographs provide contextual information and should not be treated as a substitute for measurements, inspection or professional judgement.
5. Files and project information
GrandVerify may create, store and export project information and files, including measurements, reports, photographs and DXF information.
Users are responsible for reviewing exported information before relying upon it for design, manufacture, fabrication or installation.
Users are also responsible for maintaining appropriate copies and backups of project information.
6. Acceptable use
GrandVerify must not be used unlawfully or in a way intended to damage, interfere with, reverse engineer, compromise or gain unauthorised access to the application or associated services, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits such activity.
7. Availability and updates
Grand Metalworks Limited may update GrandVerify from time to time to improve functionality, address issues, maintain compatibility or introduce new features.
We do not guarantee that GrandVerify will operate without interruption or that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
8. Intellectual property
GrandVerify, including its software, interface, branding, documentation and associated intellectual property, is owned by or licensed to Grand Metalworks Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the rights granted to use GrandVerify in accordance with the applicable licence or subscription, no ownership rights are transferred to the user.
GrandVerify is patent pending.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Grand Metalworks Limited is not responsible for losses arising from incorrect measurements or information entered by a user, decisions made using survey information, unauthorised or inappropriate use of the application, loss of locally stored information where appropriate backups have not been maintained, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Users remain responsible for checking information appropriately before design, manufacture, fabrication or installation.
10. Termination
Access to GrandVerify may be suspended or terminated where required by applicable licensing or subscription arrangements, where these Terms are materially breached, or where continued use would be unlawful.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where GrandVerify, our services or applicable requirements change.
The current Terms will be made available through the GrandVerify website or support pages.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply under the laws of the user's jurisdiction.
