GrandVerify uses local users on your device. On first launch, create a User ID and password, then a separate administrator password. Use that local User ID to sign in on the same device.

Keep it somewhere safe. It protects local user administration and password recovery. It is separate from your normal sign-in password and your Apple or Google account.

Use the local User ID and password you created. For local user management or password recovery, use the administrator controls and the administrator password. Contact support if you need help identifying the right screen; never send us your passwords.

Create a project for the job, then add each opening or object within it. Use names that will make sense to the people receiving the documents, such as “Balcony frame — east side”.

Keep general job information with the project. Use the opening’s documents and photo for information about that particular drawing. Project Documents brings the available material together.

Yes. Give each opening its own clear name and check its geometry and documents separately. Revision details help you identify later changes.

You take measurements with your own equipment and enter them into GrandVerify. The app uses those readings to build geometry and display dimensions you can check on site.

Measure from the horizontal or vertical datum to each relevant change along the sides of the opening. A typical opening generally needs at least eight readings, with more for additional shape changes. Check the value, unit and direction of every entry.

No. Position it wherever is convenient within the opening, then keep it fixed. The horizontal and vertical laser lines or physical datum marks must meet at 90 degrees. Do not assume the opening’s edges are square.

Open Settings → Tutorial. Use GUIDE for the illustrated explanation. The practice rectangle uses two added references to teach the controls; a real opening usually needs a fuller set of readings.

Pick Points, Line, Cut / Extend, Offset, Holes, Curve and Measure support the drawing workflow. For Line and Measure, use Aligned at any angle, or select Horizontal or Vertical for linear work.

Use Pick Points to connect the required points around the perimeter in order and complete the outline. Inspect the shape against the actual opening before adding internal details.

Treat the outside polyline as the opening or object’s outer edge. Add the measured holes and curves within it. Use Cut / Extend for lines against a chosen boundary; check the result and use Undo if it is not what you intended.

Use EDIT GEOMETRY to see object identifiers and select the items you need. SELECT ALL selects the available geometry. Undo Last Action can reverse the latest supported geometry change.

Check that you are comparing the same points. Recheck the unit, datum position, entered readings and drawing geometry. Resolve the discrepancy before preparing the final documents.

The drawing records and checks the surveyed geometry. Design choices, manufacturing tolerances and installation clearances still need to be decided as part of your normal job workflow.

Choose the points for the distance you want to check, including points between a hole and the outside edge. Compare the displayed dimension with a physical measurement between those same locations. These verification dimensions can appear in the PDF report with Pro.

Your drawing can be saved in the app. GrandVerify Pro is needed to prepare and export the completed drawing reports and photos, and to share or print calculator reports.

Check the items marked REQUIRED on Finish Drawing, including the selected reports and opening photo. Check that your Pro access is recognised and that the chosen export folder is available.

Use the available document requirements in Settings and the controls on Finish Drawing. Review the PDF, DXF and photo outputs that the job needs before completing the export.

They are saved to the export folder you select. Choose an accessible local folder or a folder provided by a storage service installed on the device. The available choices depend on your device and storage apps.

Site photos provide wider project context. An opening photo relates to a particular drawing and its completed documents.

Record details that help someone understand the job: location, access, materials, conditions and anything that needs checking. Keep measurement entries in the drawing workflow as well.

Check GrandVerify’s camera and photo permissions in your device settings, and confirm that the device has storage space. If the issue continues, contact support with the device model and app version.

Photos taken with the app’s camera workflow receive the user, date and time watermark. Imported photos retain their original appearance and do not receive a new capture watermark.

VIEW opens a file preview or an appropriate viewer. SEND opens your device’s sharing options so you can choose how to send or save the file.

Select the files you need in Project Documents and use the combined sharing option. A combined package can keep the drawing’s documents and photo together.

Use a compatible CAD application. Check the units and a known dimension after opening. If an older export fails, regenerate the DXF using the current app and try the new file. Send the error text and app version to support if it still fails.

A file may have been moved, deleted or stored in a folder that is no longer available to the app. Check the original export location and reconnect the storage service or choose an accessible folder.

GrandVerify project data is stored locally. Sharing a report sends a file; it does not set up automatic project synchronisation. Make sure the recipient can access the destination and open the file format.

Choose the unit setting in Settings. This controls units across the app, including the drawing and calculator workflows. Check the unit shown when entering measurements and reviewing exports.

You can choose an available location through the device’s folder picker, including supported storage services installed and signed in on that device. GrandVerify does not itself provide a cloud project account.

Check the storage app and its permissions, then select an available export folder again. Keep a copy of important files before changing or removing a storage account.

Use the user administration controls in Settings and enter the administrator password created during setup. Keep that password safe and separate from your everyday sign-in credentials.

Use the app’s project export and import workflow for a complete project. A ZIP of PDF reports, DXF files and photos is a document handover, not a replacement for the complete project backup.

Exported reports and photos are separate from the editable local project data. Back up complete projects and confirm the backup is accessible before deleting the app or clearing its data.

The website provides product information and support. It is not an online project portal; your working project information is held in the app on your device.

Create projects, record measurements, draw and verify, keep drawings in the app, and use the railing and linear cut calculators for free. Pro adds completed report exports and sharing, including PDF, DXF and photos, plus sharing and printing calculator reports.

Use Restore Purchases where offered by the app, with an internet connection and the store account used for the purchase. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; do not assume a purchase on one store automatically provides access on the other.

The app and your store show the applicable local price, renewal information and purchase terms before you subscribe. Older video screens may show earlier wording or prices.

Read the purchase screen before subscribing, along with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Manage or cancel the subscription through the store account used to purchase it.

Enter the internal measurement, spindle or baluster width, and maximum permitted clear gap. It calculates the minimum spindle count with equal clear gaps between spindles and at both ends, and shows a layout diagram.

You set the maximum gap for the location and application. The calculator does not choose a regulatory limit or certify that the finished railing complies.

Yes. Add separate materials within the same job, each with its own stock item, stock length, cut thickness and list of piece sizes, quantities and labels.

No. It provides a suggested cutting plan with grouped cut types, bar quantities, cut loss and offcuts. Review the plan and the stated cutting assumptions for your job. Sharing or printing the report requires Pro.

Email support@grandverify.com with the device model, operating system, GrandVerify version and build, the steps you followed and any error message. Include a screenshot if useful. Do not send passwords.

Local measurement work can be carried out offline. Subscription purchases, restores and verification require an internet connection. Recognised Pro access may continue for the limited offline period shown in Settings; reconnect when verification is needed.

Yes, GrandVerify is available through Google Play as well as the Apple App Store. Release availability can differ while an update is being reviewed or rolled out. Check the version installed on your device.
