Compare dimensions shown in Verify Opening with measurements taken directly from the physical opening. Check that you are measuring between the same points.
Resolve, record and continue
Investigate differences before confirming the checks. Once verification is complete, prepare the required opening documents and add the opening photo.
The physical opening is your reference.
The app works with the values you enter. A clear digital drawing is useful, but it still needs to be checked against the physical opening. Keep your datum consistent and confirm which edges or points each check refers to.
If a dimension does not agree, investigate it.
- Check the reference. Confirm the physical measurement uses the same points and datum as the digital check.
- Check the entry. Review the entered value, direction and units. The tutorial uses millimetres.
- Check the outline. Make sure the points join in perimeter order and that every edge represents the opening you surveyed.
- Correct and verify again. Return to the relevant measurement or geometry stage, correct the source of the discrepancy, then repeat the physical comparison.

Does GrandVerify measure the opening automatically?
No. You take measurements on site and enter them into the app. GrandVerify builds geometry from those measurements and supports a separate verification stage.
Can I record more than a rectangular opening?

What happens after verification?
Opening Complete lets you create the documents required by your settings and add an opening photo. An active Pro subscription is required to finish and export. See the document workflow.
